It’s time for part two of my wedding guest dress ideas! The luxury dresses were lovely but if you’re on a budget or don’t want to spend too much on a dress, here is where you need to stick around and grab a cuppa tea.
I’m a sucker for an outfit I can re-wear. I don’t like the idea of paying a lot of money for something you’re only going to wear once because that is just a waste of money to me. If I can accessorie the outfit differently and change up my hair, I’m all for it. You can do the same with occasion dresses. You could wear any of these dresses to a wedding, a formal function or even with drinks out.
The budget brand I’ve decided to go with is Pretty Little Thing. They’re such an all round amazing brand with an outfit for any occasion or just your general day to day clothing, shoes, bags, etc. The brand has recently received some backlash for upping their prices on both item cost and shipping/delivery – but the brand is still reliable for anything you might need and I’ll still continue to shop there.
So, these are a few outfits I think could work really well for a wedding guest dress.
I’ve seen this dress all over Instagram in a tonne of different colours but this dusty blue colour is stunning. It’s the perfect guest dress but something you could also wear to any events, parties or an afternoon tea.
I’m not usually a fan of longer skirts or dresses on me because I am only 5’3″ so I worry the length would make me look stumpy. But with a pair of nude strappy sandals and matching bag this would make a gorgeous outfit.
If you love a dress with character, flare and will make you stand out – this is the dress for you. This fun bodycon dress is bright and colourful which would be a lovely dress for a wedding reception.
If this doesn’t remind you of the dancing emoji lady then I don’t know what will! This gorgeous ruffled dress would be perfect for any formal occasion; a wedding, summer holiday, birthday party or even for a casino night. This formal dress would be perfect if it was a close family members wedding or even just to look that little bit extra.
This pretty in pink wrap dress oozes class. The pale pink is the closest you could get to a white dress at a wedding (in my opinion) but it’s soft and gentle which ideally is what a wedding is all about. It;s feminine, light looking and isn’t restricting so you could easily dance the night away in this dress. Pair this with some gold sandals and matching clutch and you’ll be good to go.
