Bourjois Paris x Influenster Box: Blogmas#17

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to receive a box of Bourjois Paris makeup curtesy of InfluensterI’ve been so busy recently with everything that I haven’t had the time to look into the box properly and take some cute pictures. I haven’t tried all the products yet so I can give you my first impressions just by looks but for the products I have tried I can give you a little review.

I haven’t yet tried the eyeshadow palette but it looks so pretty. I love purple/mauve eyeshadows because I feel they compliment my green eyes really nicely. The palette is called the Quad Smokey Stories Eyeshadow Palette “In Mauve”  but the only thing that worries me is that all 4 shades are glittery so there isn’t a matte transition shade. I have to have a nice matte shade to use as a transition colour but this palette doesn’t have one so you couldn’t take this palette away on its own. It comes with a little applicator but I never use those and throw them in the bin, or I give them to my little sister.
I haven’t tried the mascara yet either but from the impression I get I don’t think I’ll like this too much. The brush is quite big and bulky and I never got on with bristles like that because the mascara goes everywhere. I feel like the brush is too big for me to get to the root of my lashes to get the volume in and leaves me lashes looking limp. But I will give the Volume Mascara Glamour Push Up mascara a go and let you know my thoughts on my social media.

The foundation I have tried and I’m really impressed with it so far! It’s not completely full coverage but it is heavy duty with a nice glow. It’s slightly sheer so your skin doesn’t look caked but it covers all my redness and blemishes very easily. I apply my foundation with a beauty blender and it’s very easy to blend and it quickly sinks into my skin. It isn’t as long lasting on my problematic areas like my nose and T zone but that’s only noticeable towards the end of the day.
The concealer isn’t good for brightening or covering my eye bags but it is good for covering spots. The foundation is good for covering blemishes anyway but the concealer adds that extra layer of coverage and it is very nice. It covers redness like no tomorrow and is the perfect travel size. I wouldn’t say it’s worth £8.99 because it is only good for covering blemishes and nothing else but for what it does I’ll be sure to keep this high up in my collection.

And finally, the lips. I was kindly sent 3 Metallic Lip Glosses in SupernovaGuilded Rose and Neon Nights. I’m yet to try the metallic lip creams because I feel they are very daring and probably only suitable for a night out rather than day to day. I have swatched all 3 and they are very pigmented and don’t smell which is good because I’m not a fan of lip products that smell (unless they’re a lip balm.)
