I scroll through online clothing stores and websites every single day. It doesn’t matter if I have money or not, I just love to look through the “New In” sections to see what’s coming on trend and just to nose at new pieces. I’m such a shopaholic and I do probably have a problem with shopping, but it makes me happy and if I can afford it at the time then why not?
This month it’s safe to say I’m skint so I thought I would show you some of the pieces that I’ve saved to my wish lists, ready for next payday. However, I thought I would make this into a little series and share my weekly crushes for different clothing sites. Sound good? Well we’re kicking off today with MISSGUIDED.
This top is so simple yet so powerful. The “Make Herstory” Collection by MISSGUIDED is inspired by International Women’s Day which was Thursday. The day embodies women to feel powerful, proud and strong. Women have already made such a powerful stand in society over the last 100 years and that needs to be continued. But not only is this top part of the campaign, it’s also just super cute. I’d pair this with cameo trousers like the model or even a denim skirt for a more casual look.
This jacket is FABULOUS. I’m all for a piece of clothing with slogans on it and this one is no different. La Femme Est Belle translates as The Women is Beautiful and I think it’s such a nice subtle way to empower women again. This jacket would look so cute with a pair of adidas bottoms and white trainers for a casual look but also with a pair of heels (like the model) to jazz it up for drinks in the evening.
I’m clearly into this empowering women mood at the moment because this is another piece from the MAKEHERSTORY collection. This jumper is a bit more lowkey but I think it’s adorable. I think this would look so good with a leather skirt and a pair of ankle boots for a day out in London!
The denim on denim trend is right up my street. Blue denim, black denim, I just love it. I have a few blue denim jackets in my collection but I’m yet to buy a black one. I love an oversized jacket because they feel so cosy and comfy, but this also looks so stylish. I’d pair this jacket with black jeans, white lace body and some white trainers or heels for a sassy day out.
Off the shoulder tops are my weakness. I think they can look casual with the right pair of jeans but also very appropriate for a night out with the right skirt or trousers. As I said a minute ago, oversized fits are my favourite, and this pink oversized off the shoulder jumper is right up my street. Pink, oversized and comfy. What’s not to love?
I’m not usually a fan of crop tops, unless i’m wearing something very high waisted (I’m not a big fan of my stomach being out since I gained weight.) But I recently bought a black tie up blouse from MISSGUIDED and I absolutely love it – and after seeing this striped version, I just need it in my life! Red is such a staple colour in my wardrobe and my instagram theme was monochrome and red for months and months, so I’m dying to get my hands on this!
If you know me personally then you’ll know that I love pyjamas, onesies, anything cosy that keeps me warm basically. If I’m not going out that day, I’ll stay in my pyjamas; if I’m popping to ASDA or something I’ll go in my pyjamas, I have no shame! This burgundy set is just callingggggggg my name. These look so comfy to lounge around in and they’d probably make cute instagram snaps around the house too lol.
