First Class Style – Graduation Outfits

by
Graduation is one of the biggest days of your life if you’ve been to University. It signifies the completion of your learning and the start of your future. It means you battled through the all-nighters perfecting your essays and the endless weeks and weeks of editing your documentary.
It’s such an important occasion so you want to look and feel good during the day and absolutely love your final University picture that no doubt your family members will hang in the walls of their homes.
So, to save you the trouble of thinking of an outfit, Pretty Little Thing have dedicated an entire page to graduation outfits for you to shop from. And, we have also teamed up together to share three looks with you, from that page, to give you a little bit of inspiration.
Jumpsuit
Stone One Shoulder Contrast Binding Jumpsuit
A jumpsuit is always a safe option if you’re stuck for outfit ideas. You don’t have to think about a top to match a skirt or trousers and you haven’t got to worry about shoes to wear underneath if they’re wide legged – so all round a good option.
This gorgeous nude jumpsuit is the perfect combination of dressy and comfortable. This stretchy material has enough room to eat, move but you can also create a tighter fit with the belt provided.
I’m only 5’3″ so this is very long on me so for graduation I would have this turned up to the length you want depending if you’d wear heels or flats. I would pair mine with white heels and a clutch to match the stripe detail throughout the jumpsuit but if you wanted to wear flats you could opt for a glitter or nude sandal.
Dress
Rose Lace Bandeau Dipped Hem Midi Dress
The majority of us do choose to wear a dress for graduation because it feels more special, and what’s more special than a gorgeous lace dress? Most graduations occur during the summer so this dress will keep you nice and cool while still making you feel glam.
This dress does come in white so if pink wouldn’t match your graduation gown or University colours then you can go for that option instead. But as you can see I paired my dress with simple pink fluffy heels but you could also wear white heels with a white clutch for accessories – I think those would look cute too.
One thing to bare in mind is that this dress does come up fairly short at the front so if you are fairly tall then this dress might not be for you.
Suit
Black Straight Leg Suit Trousers & Black Belted Blazer
Rose Gold Metallic Clutch & Rose Gold Single Strap Heeled Sandals
This is what I like to call the “boss babe” outfit. I’m not usually one for wearing trousers or blazers but I thought this was quite a sophisticated option.
These gorgeous straight leg trousers paired with the blazer are quite the match but I did wear a vest top underneath to keep the look more classy than night out because it is a family occasion.
Again, they’re quite long so you would have to wear heels if you didn’t want them turned up because they do bunch at the ankle but they’re super comfortable with an elasticated waist.
The blazer is such a statement piece that you could wear this with jeans for a night out as well as trousers so this piece is definitely worth investing in.
All of the clothes in this blog post were kindly gifted by Pretty Little Thing and everything is a size 12.
