I’ve had my fair share of hair changes over the years. I’ve dyed my hair different colours, had different styles and different lengths. It’s fair to say I’ve always got bored of my hair very easily and so I’ve always switched it up every now and again.
To step aside from the Christmas and Winter themed blog posts I thought I’d do something a little different. I thought we could look back on some of my hair styles, some dating back to 2013!
(I think it’s safe to say that my makeup skills during 2013-2015 were absolutely tragic so I’m very glad I watched beauty tutorials on youtube!)
RED AND NATURAL HAIR (FRIZZY CURLS): 2013
I’d wanted red hair for so long and when I went to visit my friend Sofia in Madrid, her mum dyed both our hair red! I absolutely loved it but boy was it a bitch to strip out of my hair!
PURPLE ENDS AND NATURAL HAIR: 2014
I think you can tell that the fade from brown to red/purple in my hair is pretty terrible in this picture. I remember when everyone dip dyed their hair red, pink and blue during the summer because we couldn’t have bright hair in school! This was as bright as my hair got!
LIGHT BROWN AND BRUSHED OUT CURLS: 2015
As you saw in the first two photos my hair is naturally a frizzy curly style. I used to reall embrace the frizz until it became very hard to control and so I used to brush them out so they were slightly wavey – and I also cut my hair! This long bob was so easy to style apart from putting it up in a high bun because that required around 100 clips! But I dyed my hair a very light brown so it looked slightly blonde in some lights which I loved.
LIGHT BROWN STRAIGHT: 2016
This is one of my favourite hairstyles. This is my natural hair colour and length and it was so nice to give my hair a rest (except for the straightening it got every other day!) At this point I’d just started to use proper hair treatments such as argon oils and my hair looked so much healthier!
JET BLACK STRAIGHT: 2017
Having said that, I do love my hair jet black. I think it really suits me and it’s so easy to maintain. My eyebrows have always been a darker shade than my natural hair and I used to hate how much they stood out. So dying my hair black seemed like a great option and I haven’t looked back since the Spring!
JET BLACK 20″ WEAVE: 2017
And then we get to my hair now which is my all time favourite. My weave is my pride and joy and having long princess hair has brought me so much confidence. I kept my hair jet black when I got my weave so it would be easy to maintain and I just think it suits me and I can’t imagine not having long hair now!
Have you had many hair changes over the last few years? I’d love to see some of your transformations! You can let me know by chatting to me on my social media sites which are linked in the top right hand corner of my page or by leaving a comment below x
