In my past experience with trying new make-up products, I have always struggled to find a mascara that I well and truly love. As a blogger, I can honestly say that I love different lipsticks, eyeshadows and fake lashes; but mascara is the one product I have always struggled to find one that I will stick to without a second thought.
I have very small lashes and that probably isn’t helped by my constant use of false lashes – but what’s a girl to do when she has tiny lashes? I love a full eye and because I love winged eyeliner I feel that I need to have big lashes to make them look nice on my little eyes.
After over a year of searching, I have finally found my holy grail mascara.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
I’m a fan of Maybelline as a brand itself because it is reasonably priced, a drugstore product which means that it’s easy to get hold of and their products are always full of quality. To find a holy grail mascara that is drugstore and easy to get hold of is a bonus.
This mascara has the cutest packaging to start with. It’s a pretty pearl purple colour which stands out against other packaging in my make-up collection and the bullet type packaging suggests to me that it’s a rocket, and trust me, I want my lashes to shoot up towards the sky!
The applicator or brush as I’ll refer to it has a rounded side with longer bristles for your top lashes, and the bottom side with smaller bristles for bottom lashes. The rounded brush has 6 different lengths or bristles and enables you to push it right into the roots of your lash bed to get the volume and lift your lashes need to reach the sky. The smaller bristles prevent you from getting too much product on your bottom lashes because I personally like thin bottom lashes. There is nothing I hate more than clumpy looking bottom lashes; it’s just not a look I go for personally!
I don’t know what it is, but this mascara gives my lashes so many different layers and dimensions! They look so full and incredible! I will definitely have to do a look with the mascara on my YouTube channel so you can see the process of me apply it to my lashes and also the comparison to my other eye!
