NA-KD Fashion Daytime to Nighttime

My worst nightmare is going out for the day and suddenly, last minute, deciding to go out for the night or go for some drinks – and I’m wearing the most casual outfit ever. Jeans are such a staple piece for changing from daytime to nighttime in a matter of changing top. I’ve started to get a little better with planning outfits I can wear with different items to make them look completely different, but sometimes there isn’t time and you just need to pack a different top and pair of shoes.
NAKD is a brand I’ve seen online and all over Instagram for about a year, but I’d never bought from them or tried their products until they got in touch for a collaboration. Having not tried to brand before I was really intrigued so I agreed to the collaboration and had the option to pick an outfit out from the website using only three pieces of clothing. I decided to try and find three pieces that would create the daytime to nighttime look – choosing a pair of jeans and two tops.
Blue Highwaist Skinny Panel Jeans (£29.95)

I wanted to find a nice pair of jeans that weren’t plain and had something a little different about them. I’m quite fussy when it comes to the colour of denim so I am quite particular when selecting jeans – but this pair caught my eye instantly. They’re a gorgeous denim wash that isn’t too light, isn’t too dark and isn’t too blue (if that makes any sense.) They’re a standard pair of high waisted jeans but the stripe detail down the seams are what drew me to them. I’ve never owned a pair of jeans like this before so when the opportunity arose I had to snatch them up.

The high waisted fit is perfect for me because I am a little self-conscious about my stomach so I like to feel sucked into my jeans. They’re a true denim material, quite tough so they would take a wear or two to feel more comfortable or flexible but I think that just shows they’re good quality.
The length of the jeans is quite long for me because I’m only 5’3″ and my ideal leg length for jeans is 28″ so I do have to roll them up but once I styled them with the heels for my shoot that day they look fine and they even look fine in my flats too!
Beige Overlap Knitted Sweater (£22.95)

I love me a good jumper; jumper and jeans, jumper tucked into a skirt, oversized jumper and boots – you name it I’ve probably styled a jumper with it. I can be quite adventurous with my knitwear but usually I like to stick to monochrome, neutrals and yellow/mustard. I’m quite plain when it comes to paring outfits together because I usually just thrown on a pair of jeans, stick on a jumper and I’m good to go. But comfort is essential in a jumper.
There is nothing worse than a jumper that feels itchy and rough on the skin – I need a jumper that’s soft, comfortable and room to feel comfortable and not restricted. This NAKD jumper is that jumper.

This overlay jumper comes in 12 different colours and I need every single one of them. It’s a super soft material with cuffs at the bottom of the sleeves to give it that oversized look on the arms. It’s very stretchy so if you would like a very oversized fit you could size up without worrying about the arms being too big because the cuff will stop them from falling over your hands. The wrap over design isn’t too revealing which is nice for day to day but you can always switch it up for the evening with a lace bralet underneath.
Pink Cowl Neck Singlet (£22.95)

Cowl neck tops are not something I’d ever thought I’d love. I thought it might be too revealing, not secure on my bust and wouldn’t suit my broad shoulders. But I was so wrong!
This top is super flattering on both my bust and shoulders, it makes me feel really feminine and it’s that perfect top you can wear casually or dressed up. It’s a gorgeous silk material which looks expensive but for an affordable price. It does crease like no tomorrow so if you’re going away be prepared to iron it at your destination.
You definitely wouldn’t be able to wear a bra with this cami because it does hang quite low but if you put on some plasters or nipple covers you’ll be fine with no chance of a nip slip.

I styled mine with the lined denim jeans from NAKD and some leopard print slip on loafer style shoes for my daytime casual look. To style this up for an evening I would add some barely there heels with a clutch bag and faux fur coat for the glamorous evening out.
